Fall Color Tour
The 2025 Fall Color Tour was our second year of having the cider and donuts at our start location with a single segment drive with a lunch stop at the end. The attendance this year was down a bit from last year. Due to the rainy weather 47 cars and 81 people attended(74 cars and 126 people had signed up) which is still a great turnout for the conditions.

The start location this year was in Novi at Precision Auto Protective Films. They specialize in ceramic coating, protective films and window tint. Our excellent weather streak was finally broken as the day presented us with colder temperatures in the upper 50s and rain. Heavy rain fell overnight that continued on into mid morning.
The rain did lighten up shortly after we opened for check in at 9:15AM. Everyone attending enjoyed the cider and donuts from Blake Farms South Lyon location and carried on conversations as people congregated mostly inside the building due to the rain. We were onsite for just under 2 hours.

The fall colors this year were the best we have had in the last several years. The rain gods took pity on us and gave a reprieve from the rain as we started the driving tour. Roads were still wet but at least we could get a clear view of all the colors! The trees were a good mixture of green, yellow, orange and red.
The single segment route this year departed from Novi at 11AM heading over to Ann Arbor and up to Pinkney by way of Hell. The route was 62 miles long and took roughly 1.5
hours to complete. We were able to take in as many wooded and lakeside roads as possible. Huron River Drive gave us an excellent tunnel of trees to drive through. Hankered Rd gave us an unobstructed roller coaster ride and it’s always interesting to drive through Hell (MI).
Lunch was 12:30PM at Zukey Lake Tavern. The food was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. We even still managed to mostly fill the private dining area. The rain that had stopped for our event started again not long after we left the restaurant.
Thank you to Mark and Precision Auto Protective Films for hosting along with all who attended and assisted despite the weather conditions. A special thank you to our drive leads Chris Bohr, Howard Gilson, Kyle Robie, Andrew Vincnent, Eric Wecker and Jim Williams. I look forward to planning our 2026 tour events and seeing everyone again soon!
